HISTORY

God’s Squad has it’s beginnings in 1969 in Sydney and was established on a broader basis, in Melbourne in 1972, where the club colours have been flown ever since. The club exists primarily to minister among the “outlaw biker fraternity” and associated groups, where it has become an accepted and relevant expression of Christian faith. Since it’s birth, out of the counter culture Jesus Movement days of the late 60’s it has continued, for over 30 years, to devote it’s efforts amongst those on the fringes of society.

The first New Zealand chapter members received their colours in 1996. This was after many reciprocal visits (beginning in 1989), long discussions and serving the necessary period as prospective members.
